What’s it really like to do a boudoir photoshoot?  Check out what Robin(interview and the photos are not the same person ;)) had to say in this interview about her photoshoot experience at our studio:

What was your main reason for booking a boudoir shoot?:

I decided to book a boudoir photoshoot while I was pregnant. This was a celebration of my beautiful baby bump! I wanted to capture this time before it was over. I knew that I wanted maternity photos and I wanted something sensual. Even though this pregnancy has been really hard (I have been so sick!), I wanted to remember this time.  And my boyfriend loves my curves right now, so I knew he would love the photos too.

What was your biggest fear before or during your boudoir shoot?:

What I would look like on camera. I’m not very photogenic.  I was also worried about the veins on my legs and what to wear.

How did the shoot turn out?

It was absolutely amazing!  I can honestly say that this is a part of my pregnancy that I will never forget. The staff was soooo great! When I arrived they made sure I was totally comfortable and had water etc.  For hair and makeup I went with a more natural look.  I wanted to go for a natural earth goddess look.  I asked for sexy, beachy waves in my hair and a soft pink lip.  I loved my hair and makeup look!  During the shoot we did so many different poses and looks - I loved it!  We did some that were soft and romantic and others that were more sexy and sultry.  I’m so happy with everything and how it turned out!  

How have you enjoyed your photos since the shoot?:

I got an album to give to my partner and he loves it so much.  He keeps it on his bedside and pulls it out all the time!  We love the photos now, but I know that I will love and enjoy them even more as the years go on and I can look back at this time before our baby arrived.  I also got a print to hang in my closet.  It’s a black and white of just my bare baby bump and I just love it so much.  That one is just for me.  I look at it all the time and just love it.
